The Carpenter position is perfect for an individual who has a passion for building,
a can do attitude, and is a team player. Ideally we are looking for applicants who
would like to grow with the company

  • Qualification and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Journeyman Carpenter (Red Seal) preferred but will consider a combination of relevant education and experience AND/OR apprentice carpenter with minimum 2 years experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own vehicle and clear Drivers Abstract
  • Must have own hand tools
  • OFA training is considered an asset
  • Display ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Prior experience and familiarity with making custom concrete forms is considered an asset
Job


Responsibilities:


  • Skilled in rough and finish carpentry work
  • Be knowledgeable and familiar with construction documents, drawings, and local building codes
  • To construct various architectural components based on provided blueprints
  • Arrive on site prepared for work with the tools necessary to complete required tasks
  • General housekeeping including maintaining a tidy and orderly job site
  • Moving/loading/unloading various materials
  • Setup/removal of protection material for finished work (i.e. laying melamine, laying drop sheets, setting up plastic coverings, etc.)
  • To build and install millwork plus concrete forms
  • To construct high end backframing (fireplaces, roofs, etc.)
  • Various other tasks as required
