The Healthcare Strategy & Partnerships team is responsible for post-merger integration execution, governance of the CMA Affinity Partnership and the development of strategic partnerships.

The CMA Affinity Partnership includes a 10-year collaboration in which Scotiabank has agreed to invest $115 million to support physicians and the communities they serve across Canada (the "Affinity Program").


The Manager, Healthcare Strategy & Partnerships will work with a diverse set of stakeholders to support the Affinity Program as well as provide project management support on a significant project for the Trust business.


Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

For the Affinity Program:

  • Manage and complete the due diligence and Third-Party Risk Management processes to operationalize Affinity initiatives
  • Update and maintain the financial tracker to provide accurate reporting on the $115 million spend
  • Prepare legal agreements using template
  • Track new initiative progress and deliverables
  • Prepare materials for Advisory Committee meetings
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Forge strong working relationships with business units and functional groups to ensure successful project execution
  • Update and maintain business project plan, update RAID logs, develop charts, map processes, monitor progress, identify risks, monitor progress and escalate critical issues
  • Support reporting deliverables by collating and updating status reports, updating executive dashboards, and preparing slides for presentations
General

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in daytoday activities and decisions
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of daytoday business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Business or related field
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstratable professional experience as a project coordinator, assistant project manager or equivalent role
  • Must have extensive knowledge of project management tools, methodologies and best practices
  • PMP designation an asset
  • A high level of attention to detail
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, critical thinking and time management skills
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work
