    We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team and support our builder partners in the Red Deer region. The successful candidate will have previous sales experience in the home building industry, and a reliable vehicle to commute for work.

    Primary Job Purpose

    The main focus of this role will be to acquire new builder accounts and manage new and existing accounts within the designated sales area. The Builder Sales Rep will be the main point of contact for clients and will ensure that all deadlines are being met while maintaining Divine's standard of quality. The Builder Sales Rep will develop and maintain existing relationships with Builder Partners and cultivate new business. The individual will work closely with other departments within the Company to ensure information regarding builder accounts is communicated.

    Specific Responsibilities

  • Prospect and aggressively pursue new business opportunities
  • Manage the process of the job from the time of inception to completion of the job at the office and site level including ordering all materials required for jobs and booking install dates
  • Knowledge of Divine product lines and pricing with the ability to demonstrate technical understanding of the products
  • Build and foster a network of referrals to create new business opportunities
  • Focus on growing and developing existing customer accounts
  • With Management approval, establish customer pricing for product specifications and present product alternates
  • Manage and track WIP and billable sales
  • Well-rehearsed in our Estimating software to complete all quotes and estimates for select Builder Accounts and order material as required
  • Coordinate Warranty appointments with the Warranty department
  • Perform client selections for designated and managed Builder Account
  • Resolve client concerns in a timely manner by investigating problems and developing solutions to ensure absolute customer satisfaction; and when appropriate, escalating unresolved situation in a timely manner
  • Manage billing, deliveries, install dates and change orders in Divine Tracker
  • Quality control on installations and products
  • Attend site meetings, installer meetings and safety meeting as required
  • Implement customer pricing changes when required
  • Maintain existing builder relationships at all levels by routinely visiting offices, sales centres and job sites; ideally with a structured schedule and agenda.
  • Report relevant Market, Competitor, Customer and Sales activity weekly
  • Product and relationship management of customer's Showroom & Design centres, including establishing relationships with management and design staff, and ensuring product samples are current and well maintained and appropriate for the mutual benefit of the customer and Divine.
  • Provide training to Customers on product offerings & options and Divine's business processes to ensure ease of business.
  • Communicate all product, process and pricing changes to the Divine estimating team and maintaining accurate Customer Pricing within Tracker (Divine's operating system)
  • Communicate with other designated internal resources at Divine to ensure customer requirements are being met or exceeded
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor and attitude at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Requirements

    Skills Required – Technical

  • Maintain a high level of strip flooring, tile and carpet product knowledge
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiar with computer systems, file structures and operations

  • Education and Experience Required

  • Minimum five years sales experience, preferably in the home building industry.
  • Previous experience working with flooring considered an asset.
  • Post-secondary education is preferred but not required
