Reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Management, the Manager, will assist in the development of asset management processes & initiatives, with primary focus on optimizing the fleet & equipment needs for the organization.
This role is accountable for all aspects of fleet management, acquisition, inventory control of equipment; & development/ implementation of related procedures and policies.
This position is based out of our Edmonton, AB, office.What You Will Be Working On
Leadership
- Provide leadership and overall guidance to daily operations of the Fleet and Equipment Team
- Oversee the establishment of asset lifecycle standards & procedures;
- Lead the development & support of the implementation of fleet administration standards, vehicle operating policies, & related risk management activities;
- Oversees the creation & maintenance of required manuals, training material, forms, & required documents to ensure policies and procedures are communicated & utilized throughout the organization;
- Lead the development & implement schedules of repair and maintenance of fleet & industrial equipment to ensure consistency in alignment with company standards;
- Lead the development, preparation & maintenance of asset files (included but not limited to, maintenance, repair, mileage, depreciation, financial correspondence); and
- Responsible for ensuring that the operationalization of policies, and procedures through training and compliance and monitoring.
- Lead in the creation and maintenance of a fleet and equipment dashboard to automate all reporting through Power BI which provides a current snapshot to Operations and Executive teams
- Manage/Oversee the National Safety Code Program
- Manage the Fleet, Maintenance and Telematics programs
- Manage the annual fleet registration and insurance renewals and reviews
- Maximize the utilization of the company's fleet and equipment
- Develop an entire Tool and Equipment Management plan
- Lead & direct the acquisition, efficient utilization, operation maintenance, disposal and/or transfer of company fleet & equipment across regions;
- Collaborate with managers and/or site supervisors in the development of asset plans for projects including ordering the required assets for scheduled work;
- Monitor, allocate & transfer equipment between operating entities to ensure efficient use of resources for startup and close out of projects; and
- Implement & monitor the overall fleet & equipment inventories to accurately receive & account for storage, using in a systematic method & costeffective process
- Establish & monitor practices and procedures, as it related to fleet management, to ensure ethical relationships with vendors and legal purchasing agreements;
- Negotiate national & preferred pricing contracts & conduct continuous exploration of new suppliers;
- Establish processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, & delivery of a winwin solution for vendor(s) & company; and
- Lead the standardization of fleet & equipment types & resolve related concerns/issues.
