    Position Overview:

    MNVNA is looking for a Logistics Specialist who will work with the logistics team leader and materials department to facilitate logistics coordination as well as the shipment and receiving of goods (individual automotive components). Tasks need to be performed according to established company and customer standards in a responsible and efficient manner.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Logistics:

  • Arrange and book carriers for domestic and international shipments (LTL, Air, Ocean)
  • Obtain appropriate information for shipments, weight, measurements, etc.
  • Create BOL, shipping labels, bar codes, etc,
  • Prepare all required shipping documents, FedEx, LTL, etc.
  • Prepare all required customs paperwork, Commercial Invoices, CUSMA, etc.
  • Track incoming and outgoing shipments via external carriers.
  • To coordinate the activities of the ocean import department to ensure a courteous and efficient customer experience while maintaining a competitive cost structure.
  • Follow up with agents to ensure that the shipments are shipped on the planned date.
  • Keep shipment files up to date with documents received by agents.
  • Shipping/Receiving:

  • Prepare shipping/bill of lading reports.
  • Package goods appropriately for shipping (when required)
  • Collect and log all shipments.
  • Verification of received shipments to purchase orders.
  • Inspect condition of goods received.
  • Create receiving documentation when not available.
  • Education & Experience Requirements:

    The ideal candidate for this role will have 2 years logistics experience and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Knowledge and experience applying CUSMA Regulations and Tariff Codes
  • Knowledge and experience using the Canadian Automated Export Declaration (CAED) program.
  • Familiarity with a range of customs documents is an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience preparing Electronic Manifests for Canadian and US shipments.
  • Expert knowledge of all documentation required to prepare an export shipment.
  • Reviewing commercial invoice for accuracy, packing slip, and all other documents required for an Ocean Export LCL or FCL shipment.
  • Arranging and coordinating LCL and FCL globally; booking shipments with local trucking company, coordinating container, movement the point of shipping, verifying timing and accuracy of the shipping movement.
  • Automotive industry experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Air/Ocean Imports documentation and procedures.
  • Experience in customs documentation preparation.
  • Excellent administration skills, accurate and thorough with attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • At least two years logistics experience
  • Must speak, read, and write fluent English.
  • Be able to demonstrate advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel)
  • Ability to multi-task, accustomed to working with minimal supervision, confident and conscientious.
  • Can work in a busy environment.
