    Description

    Position Overview

    Join our team as a Physiotherapist and be a key player in providing top-notch physiotherapy services to maintain optimal function and promote well-being. You'll have the opportunity to offer education and guidance to other healthcare providers and students, while also participating in the education of healthcare professionals. Your role will involve clinical supervision, training, and maintaining professional accountability with effective communication and collaboration.

    Experience

    • Recent and relevant clinical experience preferred.

    Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

    • Entry-to-practice academic credential in physiotherapy from an accredited Canadian university program or equivalent.
    • Must meet provincial licensing requirements, including completion of the Physiotherapy Competency exam within 2 years.

    Certification/Licensure/Registration

    • Must be registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba.
    • Membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association preferred.
    • CPR Training required as per WRHA policy.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Preference for proficiency in an Indigenous language and knowledge of Indigenous customs.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate professional judgment and initiative, and adapt to evolving healthcare practices.
    • Computer literacy relevant to the field.

    Physical Requirements

    • Good physical and mental health with the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
    • Safe and effective body mechanics required while working with clients.
    • Capability to transfer large/heavy clients as needed.
    • Motor coordination for therapeutic techniques and activities.
    • Flexibility for evening/weekend shifts and occasional extended hours.
    • Exposure to various work conditions and potential stressors.
