This position is responsible for the development and implementation of training strategies, plans and solutions for CN's Elevate Business Transformation Program.
Change Manager and will play a key role in keeping all the stakeholder groups engaged and informed throughout the various releases of the CN's Elevate Transformation Program.
Main ResponsibilitiesPlan and Development
- Work with the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team, third party vendors to create training plans for different functions / teams across the organization
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify training and development needs. Strong experience in requirements gathering from business processes
- Work closely with third party vendors, consultants, and SMEs to develop training curriculum, training materials and coordinate review cycles, approvals
- Use instructional design methodologies and tools to create effective and efficient training solutions
- Develop training solutions in a variety of formats/approaches (blended learning, system simulations, elearning modules, presentations to deliver instructor lead training sessions, etc.) using a variety of authoring and design tools (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, SAP Enable Now, etc.)
Work in collaboration with third party vendors to translate training content and communications (as required)
Training Execution
Coordinate End User Training sessions in partnership with the OCM team, Business Process Leads and SMEs
Engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization (management and unionized groups) to ensure successful implementation of training courses.
Liaise with other key groups across CN (L&D, Communications, I&T, etc.)
Collect, analyze, report, and communicate training outcomes and project statuses
Identify and monitor performance metrics that drive the desired behaviors and business results.
Actively seek and incorporate trainers' feedback for continuous improvement and propose training activities that would support the transformation program's objectives as required
Maintain training content
- Foster a solid relationship with business partners and thirdparty vendors to support training development requirements
- Manage SAP Enable Now, LMS and SharePoint site in collaboration with the Organizational Change Management team, HR and thirdparty vendors
- Maintain and update training courses, catalog, troubleshooting, content to support project needs
- Keep informed on developments of new learning design technologies, best practices, and emerging L&D trends; make recommendations as required.
- Remote work within Canada. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must have the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing tasks, demands and deal with unexpected events.
- Travel up to 30%
Requirements:
Experience
- Between 5 to 7 years of relevant Learning and Development experience, leading training activities within a largescale program/project
- Excellent problemsolving skills, with initiative to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and make decisions within the functional area of responsibility with mínimal direct supervision.
- Capacity to summarize complex data and visualize it in easytounderstand formats
- Strong background in adult learning & development
- Experience working in a unionized environment will be an asset
- Experience developing and facilitating ERP (SAP, SAP S/4 HANA) or system related training will be an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in fields such as Business, Human Resources, Industrial and Org. Development or and equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master's degree or Adult Learning Certification will be an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain trust, credibility and build strong relationships with internal clients and thirdparty vendors
