Your Opportunity:


As a team member of the Department of Clinical Engineering the Biomedical Technologist I, assists in the management of technology and support of clinically applied devices.

The Technologist I, works under the direction of more senior technologists, this includes working independently or as part of the clinical team and is responsible for performance assurance testing and support of medical devices, ensuring compliance to CSA, manufacturers and accreditation specifications and standards.

Responsibilities also include scheduling and managing of assigned workload and other related duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a two year diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited Institute of Technology.

Active or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).


Additional Required Qualifications:


Graduate from a recognized Institute of Technology with a two-year diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology and or equivalent in education.

Eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) with The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).


Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with medical devices and machines.
