Position Information:


The Triage Quality specialist is a key member of the team responsible for ensuring appropriate referrals are sent to the appropriate WSIB specialty provider within the Ontario Worker's Network in a timely manner.

Timely triage is a critical step in the journey of an injured worker. This role is part of the Operations Team of the Ontario Workers' Network.

The home base for this position is the General Campus.

Temporary until approximately October 26, 2024.


Rotation/Shifts:

Days, 8 hour shifts.

Basic Requirements:


  • Master's degree in Physiotherapy OR equivalent program recognized by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO) or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy OR equivalent program recognized by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO);
  • Successful completion of registration and examination process for physiotherapy as set by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario (CPO) or College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario COTO);
  • Working knowledge of regulatory standards set by licensing board (CPO) or set by the (COTO) licensing board;
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience with musculoskeletal and concussion populations as a physiotherapist or occupational therapist;
  • 5+ years experience working with WSIB specialty programs;
  • Moderate ability to use multiple computer systems;
  • Ability to review a complex medical file and synthesize the information into a concise note to facilitate communication with all stakeholders;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team;
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Proficiency in English and French oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
