Data governance and management at TD is part of an enterprise-wide data and analytics ecosystem. Adaptability is key. Under the supervision of the Manager, Data Governance. This position is focused on the day-to-day operational an management reporting of the data governance team.

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will:

Build and maintain data governance/data risk related operational and management reporting on time, with high degree of accuracy
:

-
Investigate and solve reporting issues and look for continuous improvement and automation opportunities:

-
Proactively monitor 2nd and 1st line Key Indicators (KIs) / Metrics and support data stewards and data owners to proactively address any issues
:

-
Develop and / or prepare business metrics and reporting in collaboration with data governance partners and team members to help inform and support decision-making:

-
Support the development of presentations and distribution of required information:

-
Understand your department data objectives based on review of results within assigned scope; coordinate processes and meetings / events that support your work and line of business:

-
Support operational day-to-day activities, as needed, such as but not limited to procedural updates, internal site administration (i.e. SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA):

-
Consistently exercise discretion and support the stewardship of data in accordance with policy:

-
Protect the interests of the organization; identify and manage risks, raising issues as necessary:

-
Participate fully and support your team in providing quality service to the business

Job Requirements:

-
Bachelor's degree or Certificate degree in computer science, data management or other related field.
-
At least 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis and data governance

Mandatory Skills:

-
Interest and curiosity to learn data management and governance best practices:

-
Must have analytical skills and possess a critical faculty and an ability to synthesize information (written and oral)
:

-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills must be comfortable to lead meetings and present to stakeholders
:

-
Experience creating reports, scorecards, dashboards of varying levels (operational, management):

-
Experience analyzing and processing large data sets:

-
A strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills:

-
Hands-on experience with daily operational activities (intake requests, internal communications, etc.):

-
Proficient in Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and any other reporting analysis, and collaboration Tools (Jira, Confluence).

The below skills would be considered an asset:

-
Experience in using programming languages, data analysis methods/tools (i.e. VBA, Python, Tableau, Alteryx):

-
Experience in data risk/governance (i.e. data lifecycle management, critical data elements, metadata, data quality, data movement control etc.):

-
Experience working with audit/regulators, internal risk control partners and risk owners
