_Program Overview - Building Services, Housing & Homelessness Services_

Building Services is responsible for preventative and emergency maintenance at WoodGreen owned, leased, and managed properties, including janitorial, grounds keeping, and security. The program is responsible for preparing residential suites for new occupants; supervising and carrying out upgrades to offices and properties; and providing physical support to WoodGreen programs and services, as well as ensuring all applicable codes, standards, and policies are met and adhered to._

What You Will Do_**- _
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all WoodGreen building structures, systems, equipment, and furnishings.

This includes, but is not limited to:
_
- _Mechanical equipment: Make up air units, roof top units, chillers, fan coils, heat pumps, sump pumps, boilers, water supply equipment, door operators, compactors, exhaust fans, etc._
- _Appliances: Refrigerators, stoves, ovens, vacuums, buffers, etc._
- _Plumbing components: Toilets, bathtubs, sinks, valves, shut offs, pipes, pumps, etc._
- _Carpentry: Doors, countertops, cupboards, closets, windows, walls, flooring, etc._
- _Security components: Keys, locks, door hardware, etc._
- _ Provide accurate information to Management and Contractors when reporting on problems._
- _ Carry out inspections on all building systems and equipment such as, but not limited to: Mechanical and plumbing, HVAC, electrical, structural, life safety, security, etc._
- _ Replace filters and complete drywalling and painting._
- _ Operate a variety of tools and equipment including, but not limited to: Multi-tester, amp probe, power tools, etc._
- _ Operate and maintain John Deere garden tractor._
- _ Operate FAP security systems._
- _ Recommend repairs or physical changes to building systems for improved operation._
- _ Assist and work with outside contractors for smooth operation and in emergencies._
- _ Assist with janitorial and groundskeeping duties._
- _ Assist with moving/setting up of office and program equipment and furniture._

**_
What You Bring to the Team_**- _
Post-Secondary training in Building Systems, HVAC and/or Mechanical._
- _ 3+ years of related experience as a tradesperson._

- _ Communicates effectively in English, both written and verbal._
- _ Ability to follow directions, schedules, and checklists._
- _ Ability to read and use manuals and schedules for the proper repair and maintenance of equipment and systems._
- _ Thorough understanding of building systems and equipment, and able to trouble shoot and resolve problems._
- _ Ability to respond to emergencies._
- _ Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy items, and able to bend, squat, and climb ladders/stairs._
- _ Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time._
- _ Able to operate motorized equipment._
