This position is located at our manufacturing plant in London, Ontario and is required to work day shift 7am-3pm.

The Process Mixers are responsible for the safe and efficient setup, mixing, and operation of industrial mixing equipment per plant production and / or plant operations standards.

Adheres to company standards in key performance areas of Safety, Quality, and Cost & Delivery to the Customer. This position works in a team environment and is required to assist others as necessary.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Conduct multiple audits such as Behavior Based Safety, Gemba, ISO, Production Line Audits and report findings to Management.
  • Drive continuous improvement activity using lean tools such as leading root cause investigations, kaizen events and poke yokes.
  • Collaboration with Quality Assurance, Management, Production Teams, and QA Technicians
  • Provide support to the plant with regard to waste minimization, environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, and timely dispositions of returns, discrepant product and materials.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of the mixing equipment through general mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Handles daily equipment inspections, maintenance and repairs, where applicable.
  • Perform all quality checks and audits as per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot mixing equipment as required.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of handling / storing / and disposing of all chemicals and components associated with processing.
  • Promote safety culture, LOTO procedures are followed.
  • Follow all ISO9001, GMP, and EH&S policies and / or procedures.
  • Perform all requirements with in the SAP platform to ensure accurate inputs as required.
  • Weigh and count materials as required for inventory accuracy.
  • Setup, mixing, and operation of industrial mixing equipment per plant production and / or plant operations standards.
  • Employ safe work habits and complies with all applicable Diversey safety requirements.
  • Offload Raw Packaging Components from Supplier Transport Trucks
  • Verify the load with BOL and all Supplier Paperwork
  • Item #, Quantity
  • Review inbound materials for damage.
  • Locate packaging components in the warehouse using SAP.
  • Perform all required functions of a FLT driver including inspections, driving, retrieving and putting raws away in the storage racks.
  • Work with Purchasing Department on Receiving Discrepancies.
  • Back up material handling support when required.
  • Perform Safe Behaviour Visits according to Department Schedule.
  • Attend all Safety and Plant Training.
  • Participate in all Plant LEAN Initiatives 5S, Kaizen, 5 Why Investigations etc.
  • Stage components to fill lines as per production orders / schedule.
  • Count and return packaging components to warehouse.
  • Transport and wrap finished goods for shipment.
  • Participate in plant recycle objectives and exchanging out recycle bins.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • 13 years experience chemical manufacturing experience.
  • Maintain a valid Solenis FLT license.
