The salary range for this position is:

Recruitment range:
$80,673- $88,956
starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.


Performance range:
starting salary to max of $104,939
is available through annual performance increases.

  • Job SummaryThe Manager, Advancement Data and Systems leads the Data and Systems team responsible the University's Alumni and Development CRM (Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge NXT) as well as integration and automation between the CRM, other Advancement systems and University enterprise systems (Banner).


They are responsible for maintaining standards including data security, accuracy, compliance (CASL, CASE Reporting guidelines) staying abreast of peer data integrity processes, advancement technology tools and serves as liaison to University Systems team.


  • Job RequirementsA university undergraduate degree is preferred for this position plus a minimum 5 years of experience in the management of advancement CRM and systems or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing the principles of truth, reconciliation and respect, equity diversity and inclusion, and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Expert level knowledge of Advancement Services systems and tools including: Raiser's Edge, RENXT, NetCommunity and Online Express
  • Experience with segmentation of complex data.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI reporting and data
  • Experience managing the integration of CRM with other data systems including student data systems, calling program software and payment processing systems
  • Knowledge of implementation and enhancement of data infrastructure
  • Understanding of CASL regulations
  • Understand and knowledge of CASE Reporting Standards
  • Strong knowledge of alumni relations, fundraising, and higher education processes
  • Experience in leading a team and employees supervision
  • Ability to work well with others and optimize partnerships with software vendors and crosscampus partners such as the Office of Information Technology, Finance, Institutional Research, and the Registrar
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, financial, and human resource management skills
  • Excellent analytical reasoning, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills for a diverse group of people

Assets:

  • Experience working with SQL and familiarity with HTML
