Analyze contract documents (drawings, specifications, contract deliverables, etc.) to prepare self-perform cost estimates of projects for earthworks (site development, road building, detail excavation).

Assemble accurate, timely and well-organized estimates, including hard-bid, construction management and design-build.
Based on a 40-hour work week (8 hours a day, Monday - Friday), with overtime as required. Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

# Organize subcontractor quotes when the bid is successful, re-writing binders and assisting the buy-out process.
# Set-up new cost estimates in bidding software.
# Contact subcontractors and vendors for specific divisions to get external pricing.
# Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub-trades for future opportunities.
# Identify potential project risks.
# Attend pre-tender meetings & site visits, where applicable.
# Work with proposal & operations teams in writing execution methodology, safety plans, Indigenous Engagement Strategies, and quality documentation.
# Project Management and Field Experience is an asset. 1+ years of civil construction experience is an asset. Proficient English language skills required. Civil Engineer Degree or equivalent experience is an asset.
