Sales and Catering AssistantSome specific duties may include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring and updating client information in our Property Management System.
- Managing rate codes in property management system.
- Acting as liaison with clients wishing to book blocks of guest rooms.
- Assisting with the planning, setup, and breakdown of catering events.
- Responding to RFPs and completing client contracts.
- Assisting with inventory management
- Participating and contributing to Revenue Management discussions
- Being a part of Health and Safety committees
- Working as banquet captain when required to do so.
- Working as guest services agent when required to do so.
- Hotel guest services experience and in particular experience with the Wyndham brand and/or Opera would be an asset.
- Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role would be an asset.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.
This is an entry-level position for someone with a good attitude who wants to begin their career in hospitality management.
Pay:
$15.00-$22.95 per hour
