Sales and Catering Assistant

Some specific duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring and updating client information in our Property Management System.
  • Managing rate codes in property management system.
  • Acting as liaison with clients wishing to book blocks of guest rooms.
  • Assisting with the planning, setup, and breakdown of catering events.
  • Responding to RFPs and completing client contracts.
  • Assisting with inventory management
  • Participating and contributing to Revenue Management discussions
  • Being a part of Health and Safety committees
  • Working as banquet captain when required to do so.
  • Working as guest services agent when required to do so.
Experience

  • Hotel guest services experience and in particular experience with the Wyndham brand and/or Opera would be an asset.
  • Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role would be an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.

This is an entry-level position for someone with a good attitude who wants to begin their career in hospitality management.


Pay:
$15.00-$22.95 per hour
