Job Details


The Finance Assistant plays a key role in
HVE's overall success by being a key member of our
Finance Team.

You will handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, prepare invoices, and manage or create financial records.

Essential Job Duties/Tasks:


  • Verifying and resolving vendor accounts by reconciling outstanding lists and related transactions
  • Resolving vendors' discrepancies through various communication channels
  • Recording expenses to accounts via accounting software
  • Processing and distributing disbursement lists to management
  • Preparing and exporting invoices for various services by crossreferencing active contracts
  • Recording deposits to accounts via accounting software
  • Validating invoice amounts by crossreferencing and checking various records
  • Conducting internal audits by verifying and analyzing processed entries and comparing related system reports
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of information used during worktime and upholding HVE's values through the use of ethical financial standards and best practices
  • Other duties as assigned

Non-Essential Job Duties/ Tasks

  • Maintaining financial files, records and historical data
  • Scanning and uploading of required documents
  • Filing and organizing records
  • Perform other administrative duties as required

Experience/Education Requirements:


  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable required
  • Postsecondary Diploma in finance or accounting
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with external customers and internal team members
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to look at multiple documents at once and notice discrepancies
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once

Reports to:
Team Lead Finance and/or Senior Finance Manager


Salary Range :
$39,000 - $ 42,000 Annually


Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm (Flexible work hours required as determined by Manager)
