    Area of Interest: Operations

    A career as a portfolio management analyst at National Bank Financial (NBF) is mainly about supporting portfolio managers and serving NBF's investment advisors and their clients. This National Bank sector offers its clients wealth management services and advice.

    Your role:

    • Execute programs to buy and sell securities in order to align portfolios with their investment policy.
    • Prepare reports to analyze client accounts under management (asset allocation and performance).
    • Verify and carry out deposit and withdrawal instructions, account coding and systematic investment plan monitoring.
    • Help portfolio managers provide high-quality customer service to different stakeholders.
    • Identify operational issues with the UMA platform and make recommendations to resolve them.
    • Monitor discretionary accounts as needed.

    Your team:

    You will report to the UMA (Unified Managed Accounts) Portfolio Manager. and are part of a team of 13 people, including 10 analysts and 3 portfolio managers.

    NBF Wealth Management is the 5th largest investment dealer in Canada in terms of assets under management. It has nearly 900 investment advisors at 90 branches across the country.

    Prerequisites :

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline and three years of relevant experience
    • Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course
    • Good knowledge of financial markets and the retail financial advisory services industry
    • Knowledge of Croesus, an asset
    • Organizational and priority management skills
    • Good analytical skills, ability to summarize information, curiosity and creativity
    • Ability to offer quick and efficient service
