- Implement project CAD procedures and guideline.
- Complete Design/Drafting for Electrical packages which will include cable tray layout, lighting and grounding design using CAD and 3D modelling software.
- Creation of design calculations which include voltage drop, lighting levels, cable tray fill and heat trace wattage.
- Populating electrical load and cable lists.
- Responsible for electrical CAD drawings, checks and the overall presentation and layout.
- Co-ordination of drawing packages for issue and prepare issue folders for electronic files.
- Develop and enhance project CAD systems.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
- 0-3 years' experience in light to heavy industry
- Experience in cable tray, lighting, fire alarm, small power and schematic diagram development for heavy industrial applications.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Ability to work in both design office and operating plant environments.
- Expertise using AutoCAD and working knowledge of 3D design/drafting software.

This role has overall responsibility for providing Electrical Design and Drafting support, with an opportunity to provide project engineering and electrical discipline leadership, on industrial, power & mining projects.
Reporting to the Engineering Department Manager, this position will require working in the location of The City of Trail British Columbia , just 3 hours from Kelowna BC and 6.5 hours to Vancouver BC.
Our office provides full engineering, procurement and construction services on a wide variety of industrial projects related to mining, mineral development and processing and hydroelectric generation. Additionally, our engineering team and companywide environmental specialists are focused on Carbon Management & reduction initiatives to provide solutions to energy services to reduce emissions and protect our environment.
The Trail office currently numbers over 50 engineers, designers and support personnel. Trail is an affordable family-oriented community.
