The Policing and Security Branch Policing and Security Branch (PSB), Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (PSSG) provides central oversight of policing, law enforcement and the security industry in British Columbia and develops and administers public safety initiatives dedicated to the protection of British Columbia.


The Performance Evaluation and Compliance Hub (the 'Hub') was created in 2018 to support the Province in delivering on its commitments to ensure public safety and public confidence, particularly as they relate to organized crime and gun and gang violence.

The Hub works to ensure that provincial strategies on guns, gangs, and organized crime are evidence-based, performance-driven, and are achieving desired impacts on public safety and providing a positive socio-economic return on investment.

To deliver on this mission, the Hub is actively engaged in the pursuit of performance measurement and return on investment of all current and future fenced funding allocations related to guns, gangs, and organized crime across the federal, provincial, and municipal levels.

The Performance Evaluation and Compliance Analyst, reporting to the Sr.

Program Manager of Serious & Organized Crime Initiatives, develops and manages program performance monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the overall performance of provincial law enforcement agencies, community partners, and criminal justice stakeholders engaged in organized crime, gang violence prevention and crime reduction efforts.

This position must work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with government expectations and mandates, and exercise sound judgment and discretion to support decision making within the Branch and Ministry.


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences or equivalent and 2 or more years of recent and related experience in:
  • Analyzing and evaluating program performance, including developing and/or implementing performance monitoring framework(s)
  • Managing complex projects and/or initiatives with multiple components
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and quality within established reporting requirements
  • Drawing evidencebased conclusions to support practical recommendations on complex systems or issues
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience in project management
  • Experience working effectively with stakeholders, partner agencies, and senior management

About this Position:

An eligibility list may be established.
Currently, there is a temporary opportunity available until May 2024, which may be extended or become permanent.
This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
