I'm looking for an AI-first full stack mobile & web developer, with at least five years of experience. The saas helps users design their fashion garments.Similarly close software companies are , , You can sign up yourself to have a hands on experience with what I'm talking about.
The whole idea boils down to a simple generative ai API wired to a UI, plus the real-time edits (controlnet-scribble).
I was able to implement sketch to image API (sketch paired with text prompt), but I wasn't successful in uploading an image, drawing over it (coat with a belt) to transform it into another (coat without a belt), without the need to pair with a text prompt.
Finally I want the fabric to glow when user hovers on that particular section, sleeve for example, while the rest of garment is intact.
This is achieved by using FLUX.1-dev Inpainting ControlNet model.Here is the entire pipeline
I need to transition from a simple "scribble-to-image" model to a multi-stage pipeline that combines Interactive Segmentation with Inpainting.
The following tools and strategies will allow the implementation of the "hover and isolate" behavior:
The Segmentation Foundation:
Segment Anything Model (SAM)
To achieve the "hover-to-glow" and granular isolation of areas like sleeves or pockets, you should use Meta's Segment Anything Model (SAM 2 or SAM 3).
What it does:
It creates a pixel-perfect mask of any object (e.g., a sleeve) based on a single click or hover coordinate.
How to use it:
- Backend: Deploy the model via Replicate (SAM) or Roboflow Inference.
- Frontend: When a user hovers over a hoodie, send the
- Specialized Clothing Segmentation APIs
naklecha/clothing-segmentation: Available on Replicate, this model can automatically partition a garment into categories like "left arm," "right arm," and "torso".
X-Design Clothes SegmentationAPI:
Detects specific clothing areas and provides masks for granular editing.
Specializes in virtual try-ons and garment draping, which can help in maintaining the hoodie's texture while adding new graphics.
Rendering the Change:
ControlNet Inpainting
Once achieving isolated areas (e.g., the sleeve) using a mask from SAM, use a ControlNet Inpainting workflow instead of just a Scribble model.
The Workflow:
Input:
Original hoodie image + Mask (from SAM) + Scribble (user's annotation) + Text Prompt.
API:
Use a model like ControlNet Inpaint on Replicate.
Result:
The AI will only change the pixels inside the mask, ensuring the rest of the hoodie remains untouched while the "desired outcome" is rendered into the isolated area.
