CUSTOMER

  • Oversee development of credit decision and account management strategies
  • Manage analysis of credit risk strategies and policies, portfolio risk trends, and business analytics.
  • Ensure design and implement processes to provide risk metrics, management reports and MIS support
  • Provide effective challenge to the product partners to ensure all decisions are within Risk Appetite
  • Oversee and ensure the clear and effective delivery of products and services to the customer
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for productrelated inquiries
  • Participate in the day to day management of the product(s), identifying and implementing product features and enhancements, providing business case support of recommendations and assisting in the strategic development of new initiatives

SHAREHOLDER

  • Execute on the annual business plan to deliver results aligned with business strategies
  • Proactively identify key business opportunities, research, and recommend enhancements / modifications, develop strategies to achieve Canadian Personal Banking objectives
  • Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of credit risk strategies, programs, and practices related to own area of expertise
  • Protect the interests of the organization identify and manage risks, and escalate nonstandard, high risk transactions / activities as necessary
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
  • Assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct
  • Identify and manage credit and other associated risks related to Credit Cards Acquisition
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

BREADTH & DEPTH

  • Manages and oversees the overall discipline and strategy for the respective areas while aligning to the enterprise best practices
  • Strategic partner to leadership team on the management of the portfolio and financials, with deep industry, external / internal, enterprise knowledge, recognizing and anticipating emerging trends and; identifying operational efficiencies and opportunities with other business management / enterprise areas
  • Facilitate key strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience (output may include strategic roadmap and/or deliverables/ frameworks/ short to long term goals etc.)

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or technical certificate and/or
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • Previous Retail Credit Risk or Product experience preferred
  • Basic experience in querying languages (SQL / Python preferred)
