Billing Specialist - Red Deer - Talentify

Aston Carter's client is seeking a Billing Specialist to join their team in Red Deer This individual will play a critical part in ensuring invoices are processed correctly, customer accounts are maintained, and billing inquiries are resolved efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, enjoys working with numbers, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure billing information aligns with contracts, agreements, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate billing records and documentation.
• Monitor billing schedules and follow up on missing or incomplete information.
• Respond to internal and external billing inquiries in a professional manner.
• Reconcile billing data and assist with month-end reporting as required.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies or errors.
• Support accounts receivable activities as needed, including tracking outstanding invoices.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure billing accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Haves

• 1–3+ years of experience in billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or a similar accounting support role.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems or ERP software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Experience in a high-volume invoicing or contract-based billing environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Red Deer, AB.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $ $33.65/hr.
