Is this challenge for you?


The Account Executive reports to the Director, Business Development & Sales and contributes to STARS Vigilant corporate objectives through the growth of existing accounts, pursuing accounts in existing and new industries, and identifying obstacles to increasing business.

This role requires outstanding sales experience, customer service skills, a passion for innovative business solutions, and a willingness to collaborate to expand STARS Vigilant's reach into new markets.

**As a dynamic communicator you excel in developing customer relationships and identifying value add opportunities that will exceed strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Researching potential industries and clients;
  • Cold calling, generating new leads and prospecting accounts;
  • Discovering consumer needs and developing innovative solutions;
  • Working closely with operations to educate clients/prospects about business solutions;
  • Writing/delivering proposals, contracts and sales presentations to clients/prospects;
  • Tracking progress/sales activities and reporting goals in the CRM;
  • Attending tradeshows and other networking events;
  • Documenting/maintaining processes;
  • Administering the CRM;
  • Editing and creating copy/layouts for communications (internal and client) and marketing materials;
  • Liaising with internal teams such as Creative Services, Foundation;

To succeed, the
Account Executive will need to:


  • Identify growth opportunities and paths to reach greater prospects within targeted industries;
  • Clearly articulate the ways that STARS Vigilant can enhance emergency plans;
  • Form partnerships with organizations (such as associations) that enable further exposure;
  • Follow a defined sales process, including client followup;
  • Listen, ask key questions and navigate a conversation;
  • Build strong client/partner relationships (with a genuine interest in people and problem solving);
  • Critically analyze client/prospect needs;
  • Manage time;
  • Persevere;
  • Meet/exceed sales targets.

Who are you?
You will be a self-confident individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills


In addition, you bring:

  • University degree or diploma in business or a related field.
  • 5 years of administrative and customer service experience.
  • 23 years in business development, sales, product management or marketing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to negotiate and problemsolve.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas, and other industries, including trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrable business acumen and a deep understanding of business sales processes.
  • Highly developed proficiencies in Microsoft Office, Excel and CRM.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • The ability to multitask and quickly switch focus.
