_Cashier _to join our Cage team.

With the continued support of poker players from all over the world, Playground continues to expand and further develop our service offerings for our valued guests.

Conveniently located just 15 minutes south of downtown Montreal in the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake, the complex currently offers over 40 poker tables and a selection of over 500 Electronic Gaming Devices (slots).

In addition, Playground includes an inviting and locally renowned restaurant The Rail Coal Fire Bistro and is in the midst of an exciting expansion project that will include expanding the gaming floors, a stunning hotel and additional contemporary food and beverage outlets.

_ Schedule:
Nights, Weekends (Sundays are required)_

_ Competitive hourly wage based on experience + $20.50/hour + tips_

Reporting to the Cage Supervisor, the Cashier is responsible for performing varied cashier functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner.

They must ensure customer satisfaction at all times and seamlessly transition through different tasks while maintaining accuracy and paying strong attention to detail.

A Playground Cashier must be clean and neat in appearance, maintain a professional demeanor and project a positive image of Playground at all times.

Responsibilities:

Cash tickets, coins, or chips for customers and Team Members.
Handle large amounts of money (accounting for total funds received throughout day and closing numbers).
Exchange foreign currency for customers.
Perform numerous interdepartmental telephone functions.
Operate any and all office devices (ex. computer, calculators, and money counter machines).
Identify and accurately deal with different denominations (chips, cash currency, POS terminal).
Maintain accountability over a cashier drawer and balance it at end of shift.
Perform all duties in a confidential manner.
Maintain database (updating customer records and flagging of duplicate accounts).
Assist in counting and balancing all revenue related tasks.
Attend required training sessions offered by Playground.
Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
Have knowledge of the regulations, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department.
Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
Report illegal activity to Security and Surveillance or appropriate levels of Management.

Requirements:

Ability to remain standing (and/or sitting) for the majority of shift on the Cage floor and efficiently move around the surrounding areas
Must be able to withstand varying levels of crowds and noise levels
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow Team Members
Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fastpaced environment
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Must be at least 18 years of age
Flexibility with scheduling (nights, weekends, holidays, special events, and extended hours)
Fluency in English and French (written/spoken)
Experience as a cashier is a strong asset
