Project Manager/Leader - Junior


Location:
Toronto, ON, Canada (Hybrid)


Operations Project Management experience


Under the direction of the Senior Technical Manager and the Project Manager, this role will be part of the Education Capital Information System (ECIS) TRIRIGA Platform Application team that will be asked, amongst other things, to ensure exceptional a "customer first" attitude throughout their day-to-day activities.


  • Conduct QA and regression testing of defect fixes and change requests as required. Provide support to the business team by walking through delivered defects and change requests.
  • French fluency is preferred.
  • Monitor, communicate and assist in the resolution of identified issues related to ECIS
  • Management and reporting of Help Desk tickets

  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain documentation
  • Escalating tier 2 and tier 3 support issues, and follow up as required
  • Building and management of core help desk support knowledge base

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Core Skills - 50%

  • Demonstrated experience working with Help Desk Ticketing system platforms, protocols, and workflows within a Help Desk environment
  • Understanding of escalation procedures in a tiered problem support environment
  • Demonstrates experience performing preparing for and conducting QA, SIT, and UAT Testing
  • Demonstrates experience providing input into changes required to business and/or system requirements, change requests, project artifacts, as well as requirement gathering sessions
  • Demonstrates experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
  • Demonstrated experience with IBM TRIRIGA; however experience with other enterpriseclass IWMS programs may be considered
  • Experience with providing walkthroughs of defect fixes with the business team, to support UAT signoff
General Skills - 30%

  • Possess exemplary written and verbal communication skills (French would be an asset, however not required)
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and proactively assist others
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain professional relationships with colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a dynamic, fastpaced environment with a high degree of professionalism
Documentation Experience - 10%

  • A proven track record in creating and maintaining documentation, including service tickets and customer communications
  • Experience working with both the business users and IT project teams to ensure project documentation is complete and accurate
  • Experience with defect management and reporting
Public Sector Knowledge - 10%

  • Previous public sector experience in an organization of equivalent size and complexity to the Ontario Public Service
  • Previous experience with capital asset management would be considered an asset
