Canadian High Net Worth families entrust PWL to manage their investment portfolios on a discretionary basis and provide holistic financial advice for all facets of their lives.
Financial Planning, Tax and Estate services are delivered via PWL Conseil, and investment management is delivered via PWL Capital which is a Broker Dealer and IIROC member firm.
Position Summary
The Financial Planning Associate position is an entry level role providing support to our Financial Planners.
Responsibilities include client meeting preparation (pre-meeting thinking), post-meeting notes and execution of action items, financial planning analysis, preparation of financial planning summaries, and ad hoc analysis to answer client questions.
Responsibilities & Activities
- Preparing financial planning projections using our firm approved software
- Proactively making clientspecific planning recommendations to our Financial Planners
- Recording detailed postmeeting summaries in our client database
- Executing action items and following through on future tasks specified by our Financial Planners
- Providing ad hoc financial planning analysis to answer client questions
- Preparing and uploading tax packages to our clients' online accounts
- Participating in and supporting growth initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Postsecondary education with a specialization in Finance or Accounting
- Must have intermediateadvanced experience with Excel
- Proficient knowledge of investing and financial planning
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Drive for continuous improvement and education
- Completion of CFP program is an asset
- Securities license or completion of the required exams (CSC, CPH) is an asset
- Insurance license or completion of the LLQP exam is an asset
