POSITION Summary:


This Production Control and Inventory Lead is responsible for planning and monitoring material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations.


Essential position Functions:


  • Maintain and provide accurate order information to support sales, manufacturing, and scheduling.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and product teams to maintain effective communications regarding delivery status and procurement problems.
  • Communicate real or potential schedule delays.
  • Work with production supervisor to ensure schedules and priorities are met while utilizing the most costeffective shipping method.
  • Meet with production team to review and discuss progress of work; discuss and resolve minor to medium complexity schedule issues.
  • Update and maintain production and inventory tracking documents to support purchasing needs, track contractor orders to establish priorities and delivery dates, projection order tracking for adherence to delivery schedule, and CAPEX production ordering as compared to approved CAR.
  • Provide purchasing support for Manufacturing by monitoring raw material and packaging inventories to ensure acceptable and accurate inventory levels are available to cover scheduled production and avoid inventory shortages.
  • Review operation schedules and production requirements for timely order fulfillment.
  • Order raw materials and packaging with emphasis on price, inventory level and availability while ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Oversee production coordinator; plan, coordinate and monitor daily work responsibilities
  • Enter production orders as needed to support load and ontime delivery

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:


  • Knowledge of planning and inventory management
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communications skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


  • Proven experience as production planner
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Pay:
$25.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
