The Position:

BDS is looking for an experienced Gravel Truck Operator with a valid class 1 or 3 license. The operator is an integral member of the team. You will be responsible for hauling various materials to and from sites.

The Location:

Responsibilities:

Operate Gravel Truck and associated equipment in a safe, professional and responsible manner
Adhere to on and offsite safety requirements
Load, unload and safely secure cargo as required
Communicate effectively with supervision and other crew members
Perform preoperational inspections including hazard assessments
Complete relevant paperwork as required by National Safety Code and legal standards in an accurate and timely manner
Responsible for loading equipment and properly securing loads in a manner that ensures compliance with weight restrictions and government regulations
Minor truck maintenance
To complete job tasks with personal and public safety as a top priority
Maintain and clean and organized work environment
Other labor and duties as required

Qualifications:

Valid Class 3 drivers' license. (Class 1 license preferred)
Must provide 5year commercial driver's abstract with resume
Minimum 2 years experience operating gravel truck with air brakes
Ability to operate 18 speed transmission
Ability to chain up a must Sometimes several times a day.
Must have off road experience ability to operate in adverse conditions
Maintain legal driver's logs using ELD's (Electronic logging)
Good comfort level with technology
Must have demonstrated ability to work under mínimal supervision
Successful completion of preemployment drug and alcohol testing
Willing to work away from home for extended periods of time and live in camp
Oilfield experience and exposure considered an asset
