    Description

    Toys R Us Canada, proud to be Canadian owned and operated, has an opportunity for a full-time Distribution Centre Supervisor on the day shift.


    Shift Times :
    Monday to Friday, 9:00a.m.

    This is an opportunity for you to take on exciting responsibilities, build on your already strong skill set and help us achieve our goals, all in a work environment that is fast-paced, dynamic and fun.

    Supervise the day-to-day warehouse operational requirements for the business, while achieving effective and efficient service with a focus on quality, productivity, service, safety and loss prevention.

    Work in conjunction with the Distribution Centre Manager, to determine daily operational plan, set priorities, and assign team members as required
    Supervise, direct, coach and train all full time and temporary team members.
    Ensure that team members are achieving all established goals (productivity, quality efficiency, etc.).
    Occasional work at trade show weekends within GTA and US may be required (approximately once per quarter)
    Prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents; maintain internal record-keeping system, record shortages, pick and pack products to be shipped, unpack products received, and identify shipping information and shipping instructions on shipments
    Assist with the coordination of inventory location moves within the warehouse
    Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained
    Assist the Distribution Centre Manager with daily activities as needed, and fill in for Distribution Centre Manager's absence when required
    Work in collaboration with the Distribution Centre Manager to achieve highest standards of quality and accuracy.
    Communicate departmental standards, expectations, goals, changes and policies to all team members.

    Ensure team member safety through education and training, promoting safety awareness and accountability and by promptly addressing potential hazards.

    Comply with Toys"R"Us Health and Safety policies, procedures and standards and with the OHSA to ensure a culture of safety throughout the organization.


    • 3 years supervisory experience in a Distribution Centre or Warehouse
    ~ Solid communication skills, interpersonal skills, math and problem solving skills and organizational skills
    ~ Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel and knowledge of Access
    ~ Must possess a forklift license and have experience with an electric pallet jack;
