- Manage and develop scopes of work for water supply assessments including well drilling, design and testing. Aquifer testing, analysis, characterization and provide recommendations to clients on protection measures.
- Develop conceptual and/or numerical groundwater models using industry-standard software such as MODFLOW or FEFLOW .
- Analyse, interpret and/or visualize various forms of data including aquifer testing results, groundwater elevations, geochemistry and spatial data.
- Lead and oversee the design and implementation of sampling programs for the collection of soil, groundwater, surface water and sediments.
- Provide insight to Phase I/II/III ESAs to support in the management and remediation of contaminant assessment projects.
- Comply with corporate, client, and site-specific health and safety protocols and programs and applicable health and safety regulations.
- Work with senior specialists and technical teams on the development of remedial and/or risk management options.
- Respond to Requests for Proposal related to contaminated sites work and develop strong client relationships.
- Coordinate, manage and build business relationships with: clients, regulators, service providers (., laboratories, sub-contractor) and third-party stakeholders.
- A commitment to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.
- Support the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.
- Contribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
- Seven or more years of experience in hydrogeology or environmental consulting.
- Strong background in physical and contaminant hydrogeology, contaminated sites management, remediation and health and safety.
- A degree in earth science/hydrogeology, environmental engineering, geology, or another relevant discipline.
- Licensed to practice as a Professional Geoscientist or Engineer (or eligible for transfer of registration from another jurisdiction).
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Passionate about personal and professional growth, working collaboratively to meet and exceed our clients' expectations, and developing innovative solutions.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proven experience managing projects and providing consulting services in the field of hydrogeology and contaminant management.
- Proven experience in developing cost proposals.
- Technical proficiency in industry-standard modeling softwares such as MODFLOW or FEFLOW is considered an asset.
