enhance_ our human resources offerings by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and our human resources, programs and practices. H&S is included in the HRM position, consisting of implementing and maintaining Health & Safety programs, procedures, and policies.

Your Experience_
- 3+ years previous HR management experience
- 2+ years of HRIS experience
- Experience with QuickBooks (Desktop) is an asset
- Proven experience in conflict resolution and problemsolving within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with benefits administration
- Solid knowledge of applicable legislation (OH&S, ESA, MOL, and the Human Rights Code)
Your Education/Membership_
- Diploma and/or Degree in Human Resources Management
- CHRP or higher certifications in Human Resources
- Occupational Health & Safety Certificate a definite asset
What are your responsibilities?_
With a focus on results, this position will work with a high level of expertise in the management and execution of all HR programs, including talent management/recruitment, performance management, succession planning, training and development, employment legislation, WSIB, human rights, health & safety, employment standards, job evaluations, and employee relations.
Specific Responsibilities include:_
- Manage two direct reports (H&S and HR Generalist).
- You will hold budgetary responsibilities and manage the overall training and development of our employees.
- Develop, implement and communicate policies and procedures consistent with the values and principles of the company as well as applicable legislation.
- Responsible for all Health and Safety programs within the facility to ensure due diligence and compliance to all applicable legislation.
- Prepare and conduct orientation and other training programs in collaboration with department managers.
- Manage full cycle payroll activities for 68 staff (hourly & salaried).
- Ensure the payroll software is being utilized effectively and as necessary, update online and hardcopy records.
- Maintain compensation plans by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets year over year in collaboration with the Controller and General Manager, monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning and implementing pay structure revisions.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure compensation plans and bonus models are equitable, timely and align with department goals and objectives.
- Responsible to manage the RTW program and claims management of WSIB, and LTD.
- Research and examine emerging trends and workplace legislation and their impact on the workplace.
- Act as a liaison between management and employees concerning job functions, behavioral or disciplinary issues.
- Full responsibility over the Employee Handbook and Safety policies (revisions and coordinating training).
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze cumulative results and report concerns to the management team.
- Ensure the performance management process is consistently followed by department managers.
- Ensure department managers are adhering to the annual performance review timelines.
- Manage workplace injuries and the early and safe return to work program.
- Lead the HR Generalist, ensuring absenteeism data is uptodate and HR administrative duties are completed accurately and ontime.
- Hold overall accountability and responsibility for all recruitment activities.
- Maintain and ensure HR and H&S records are uptodate and accurate.
- Work with management and the President to bring improvements to our culture and maintain our positive, engaged atmosphere.
