Work Arrangements
- This is a 40hour per week position, based at the Douglas College Coquitlam Campus. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
- Travel to other Training Group sites and throughout the lower mainland to attend events on behalf of the Training Group may be required.

The Role
- The Training Lead will provide business development and skills enhancement training for the Peter Legge Institute for Sales Excellence.
Responsibilities
Business Development:
- Recruit clients for various corporate training projects;
- Conduct needs analysis with corporate clients to identify skill deficits and recommend training solutions;
- Compose effective proposals in response to proposed training project RFP's;
- Manage ongoing client and other stakeholder relations;
- Deliver skill assessments to measure training results and illustrate training ROI for clients;
- Miscellaneous as required.
Skills Enhancement Training:
- Coordinate and execute project training plans within project deadlines;
- Facilitate one to one and group training activities both on and off campus, often at employer locations;
- Ensure quality and consistency of content and effectiveness of training delivery;
- Evaluate learners at regular intervals and adjust learning plans to accommodate organizational and individual needs;
- Complete any required documentation for corporate clients and program files; ensure data is accurate and up to date.
Training Program Development:
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop specialized training program content;
- Review and refine training resources as needed;
- Complete and submit monthly activity reports.
To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
- 5+ years of sales, leadership and/or business operations experience with a proven track record of success;
- A strong customer service attitude;
- Experience and ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse businesses, industries, sectors, and professional associations;
- Adaptable and able to work with multiple projects, shifting priorities and deadline pressures;
- Ability to effectively manage conflict and maintain longterm relationships;
- Adept at finding creative learning solutions for skill development;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Proven superior facilitation skills with groups and one on one consulting, both inperson and virtually;
- Able to create / write reports, business correspondence & presentations;
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from government, professional groups and the general public;
- Willing to travel throughout the Lower Mainland and throughout BC as required;
- Able to work independently and as part of a team;
- A vehicle and valid B.C. Driver's license.
