SUMMARY

This role supports the Contract Logistics region and one of Metro Supply Chain's largest customers as a trusted financial expert and business partner. The role also provides commercial reporting and analysis, delivering performance insights, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and supporting new business pricing and business case development.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Capital Analysis
  • Budgeting Analysis (annual budgeting process)
  • Forecasting
  • Trend analysis

Monthly Business Reviews

  • Comprehensive summary of Contract Logistics business units. Communicating the story regarding the Month, QTR, YTD.
  • Preparation of Corporate Monthly Business Review presentations.
  • Financial Variance and Causal Analysis.
  • Operation metrics reporting and trending.

Process and Continuous Improvement

  • Work with operational management for continuous improvement projects. Identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and implement processes to track and report on key business metrics.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Financial designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA or MBA) is critical to be able to effectively fulfill the role
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Strong analytical skills with strong business acumen with the ability to make a significant contribution to performance and profitability.
  • Effective leadership & communication style with a demonstrated ability to work with teams.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to make a significant contribution to performance and profitability.
  • Great attitude and demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity.
  • Strong storytelling capabilities in collaboration with business unit leadership
  • 5+ years' experience in third party logistics (within large organizations preferred)
  • 3 years' experience leading teams

COMPENSATION: $125,000 - $135,000/year
