The salary range for this position is:

Recruitment range:
$61,935 - $69,710
starting salary determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.


Performance range:
starting salary to max of $81,286
is available through annual performance increases.

  • Job SummaryReporting to the Associate Director, Experiential Learning, the Experiential Learning Manager will lead the experiential priorities across the business undergraduate program. The main focus for the Experiential Learning Manager is to develop, implement and support personal and career development courses, such as COM 405. COM 405 is a part of the experiential learning initiative, and is curriculumbased programming that connects students with appropriate opportunities for career development. Examples of these activities can include (but are not limited to) orientation, conferences, project based learning, and team coaching on program deliverables.


Major responsibilities include developing the COM 405 curriculum for students in BCom, coaching students and recent grads for personal and career development, enhance and implement the teamwork curriculum for BCom, as well as identifying possible opportunities for activities within the curriculum in order to develop experiential learning opportunities, inside and outside of the classroom.

Additional responsibilities are to build and maintain a strong network of internal and community stakeholders to foster the growth and development of career preparation and experiential learning components of the Bachelor of Commerce program.

This role will support the development of career-ready graduates by intentionally threading experiential learning, reflection, and career education.

The position will work with the Associate Director, Experiential Learning, to ensure student learning opportunities and activities are in line with experiential learning curriculum goals.


  • Duties and responsibilities are not limited to, but may include:
  • Managing the curriculum design and implementation of the COM 405 Career Preparation course
  • Coach individual students and student teams
  • Implement the teamwork curriculum for all of BCom
  • Facilitating workshops for undergraduate students
  • Partnering with members of the experiential learning team, as well as internal Gustavson team members, to ensure that programming creates learnerdriven outcomes
  • Developing relationships quickly with students, community partners, staff, and faculty
