We have an exciting opportunity for a 16-Month Contract Financial Analyst II to join our head office in Richmond, BC.

Reporting to the Director FP&A, the Financial Analyst II will be primarily responsible for monthly management reporting, various analyses and supporting the budget/forecast process.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare monthly reporting/dashboards for the Executive team and other stakeholders, which provide visibility and transparency into product, project, departmental and regional results
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis, budgettoactuals to identify trends and insights and communicate with relevant stakeholders to improve accuracy of financial reporting and support decision making
  • Support the budget and forecasting process across all departments/regions and submission to the parent company
  • Through analytics, identify and provide recommendations for process improvements, including the creation of standard and adhoc reports, tools, and dashboards
  • Provide data to support target setting process and complete ad hoc analysis
  • Maintain and improve financial tools, perform special assignments and projects which contributes to the company's continued growth and development.

Qualifications:

years of relevant analytical experience in a finance position

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
  • Expert knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, formula and comfortable working with large amounts of data); Working knowledge of MS Outlook/Word/Power Point and accounting standards
  • Previous experience of reporting and dashboards
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, with or without financial background
  • Strong sense of accountability, striving for excellence, attentive to detail, and results oriented
  • Ability to work independently with guidance from the Director FP&A
  • Wellorganized and highly motivated with the ability to multitask and meet multiple deadlines.

Nice to have:


  • Master's degree or a professional designation
  • Handson experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central, Jet Reports, Power BI or other business intelligence tools
  • Financial modelling or project management skills.
