My son is 3 years old attending daycare and the daycare has asked us to hire a BI for him because he has autism.

Although not officially diagnosed yet, every professional (daycare faculty, family doctor, pediatrician, speech therapist) that we have encountered along the way have said that if he is indeed diagnosed, he would be on the mild end of the spectrum.

We are looking for 2 days (Wed & Thu) in the morning to start (9am - noon), with the possibility to increase as things progress.

He has an ASD assessment date set in July so by then with an official diagnosis, there will be government funding that will allow us to increase to 5 days a week.

We and the daycare are flexible so if those days or times don't work, we can see if we can work something out.

The daycare is located in East Richmond.

The only qualification we require is a background/experience in being a BI for children with autism/speech delay.

Since this will be in a daycare setting, you will need to provide all the necessary paperwork to the daycare as well.

Part-time hours: 6 per week


Salary:
$19.00-$23.00 per hour
