Job brief

We are seeking a mechanical estimator to join the Tight 5 team as an opportunity to continue your career with one of the largest commercial Heat & Frost insulation contractors in BC.

At Tight 5 Contracting Ltd. the estimator will have the ability to learn from a team of successful professionals with a proven track record.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• HVAC/R & hydronic/plumbing/sheet metal/firestop/heat trace estimations
• RFIs, Schedules, Closeout documents
• Tender proposal completion; including schedules, rates, and lists
• Track bidding successes and percentages and analyze fiscal bid performance
• Price any change orders
• Project management & Critical path pursuit
• Act as the primary estimating liaison with the client, subcontractors and project team

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

• Postsecondary degree, certificate, or diploma in construction/engineering, or an appropriate field, Red Seal TQ
• Heat & Frost insulation experience or mechanical background
• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in mechanical estimating
• Capable of reading and understanding blueprints, mechanical drawings and schedules

Salary:
$69,369.00-$75,447.00 per year
