Description

The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator performs necessary tasks and services to maintain a safe, efficiently run and healthy worksite and buildings.

Coordinates a variety of routine maintenance assignments as well as personnel supporting services.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Planning facilities work. Facilities is defined as nonproducing assets at Burrard Terminal. These include personnel buildings, roads and ground.
Examples of facilities work includes but is not limited to:


Roof leaks, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, repairing roads, snow removal and salting, landscaping, office furniture, window upgrades and repairs, door upgrades and repairs, painting of buildings internally and externally.


  • Identify facilities maintenance issues and resolving via means of internal and external contractors and resources.
  • Coordinating with contractors
  • Requesting quotes from vendors/contractors.
  • Developing scopes of work
  • Scheduling contractors to conduct work as needed and working with maintenance department if internal resources are required.
  • Ensuring contractors are mobilized in Fieldglass and meet site safety requirements such as Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation and the sitespecific orientation.
  • Procuring parts and equipment as needed for facilities work.
  • Providing and maintaining office furniture and arranging office relocations with onsite labour resources.
  • Responsible for roads and grounds being:
  • Scheduling and coordinating landscaping across the sites 400+ acres.
  • Maintaining roads
  • Responsible for arranging snow removal and salting during cold weather conditions and establishing the Burrard salting and snow removal process.
  • Attending the site's CFT and understanding the terminal's facility issues and establishing priorities.
  • Managing drinking water and tea and coffee vendors.

Qualifications:


  • Three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, or other facility management systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fastpaced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, staff and supervisors.
