The opportunity:

The Warehouse Material Coordinator will report to the Inventory Director to support with the inventory management activities within Top Aces


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to Top Aces policies and procedures;
  • Perform various types of material receipts per Top Aces procedures
  • Validate if received material is conform to the purchase orders and certifications
  • Perform material issues and transfers to various operating sites
  • Prepare items for shipping (packing), respect special packaging instruction if required;
  • Book courier shipments using the appropriate platform.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular inventory cycle counts
  • Manage and control inventory in various satellite warehouses
  • Maintain valid Dangerous and Controlled goods certifications;
  • Adhere to DG and CG shipping requirements.
  • Establish and maintain current inventory of hazardous material / explosives;
  • Maintain a valid forklift operator permit;
  • Optimization of warehouse space by strategically storing material amongst the various warehouses
  • Place orders to ensure availability of required warehouse supplies
  • If required, create Request for Quotes (RFQs) to obtain price and availability;
  • Communicate with local employees and TA Logistics to manage and mitigate impact of overdue orders;
  • Support TA safety programs and Quality Management System;
  • Travel to various other operating sites (US, Europe, Canada) to support with inventory management initiatives
  • Attend training courses to ensure continued qualifications;
  • Assist in the onthe job training and instruction of personnel as required;
  • Support the Supply Chain team with all other inventory related initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


  • Previous experience with shipping/receiving and/or inventory/stores management;
  • Previous military or commercial aviation logistics experience a significant asset;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers in French. English a significant asset;
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office
  • Word, Excel and Outlook). Experience with AMS and/or Sharepoint an asset;
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service;
  • Team player, but able to work independently with mínimal supervision to carry out tasks within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices;
  • High level of professionalism continuously shows courtesy and respect for team members.

Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone

Working Conditions

  • Shift working (day, night and weekend);
  • Travel is required for the position; and
  • International travel may also be required.

Training:


  • OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety) program training
  • ERP training
  • Handling, Storage and Shipping of dangerous goods training
  • MSDS training
  • Forklift operator license

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities:

You will have the following responsibilities in order to comply with the company's Occupational Health and Safety program:

  • Working in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations
  • Following safe work practices and procedures and using safeguards and personal protective equipment
  • Reporting hazards (such as unsafe situations and activities) to their supervisor immediately.

Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR:
Position requires level 2 Security Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
