Plant Yard Hand - Labourer
RMC Group of Companies


We are currently looking for a responsible, dependable, and safe Plant Yard Hand at our Site C project in Fort St.

John, BC. This position is primarily responsible for basic maintenance, support, and labour at the plant facility.

What you'll do:


  • Perform general labour throughout the plant
  • Perform basic maintenance on plant equipment
  • Assist plant manager with needed tasks and operations
  • Pour and place concrete mixtures
  • Use of chipper or jackhammer to clean dried concrete from fleet vehicles
  • Dump ice and other materials into concrete mixtures
  • Transportation of materials and product
  • General housekeeping and yard work
  • Other duties as assigned

Here is what we need from you:

  • Valid drivers license
  • General construction experience
  • Basic mechanical ability to perform maintenance repairs
  • Reliability and dependability
  • CSTS Certification (preferred)
  • WHIMIS training (preferred)
  • Experience working with concrete (preferred)

What you can expect:


  • Position is physical in nature and requires bending, crawling, crouching, and standing for long periods of time
  • Materials are heavy and cumbersome, must be able to life 50 llbs on a regular basis
  • 2 weeks on, 1 week days off. Work schedule will vary, and overtime may be required at times.
Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process.
