Within any industrial organization, the development of skills in health and safety occupies a central place.

The Health and Safety Skills Development lead plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs aimed at promoting health and safety within the organization.

This role combines aspects of project management, pedagogical development, and specialized knowledge in health and safety.


As a visionary leader, you will forge partnerships with key stakeholders, establishing strong alliances to promote a culture of risk prevention, continuous learning, and shared responsibility.

Your strategic expertise will guide the design and implementation of innovative training programs tailored to the specific needs of each industry sector.

Responsibilities:

Development of the occupational health and safety (OHS) skills management strategy and the resulting tactical plan.

Development and implementation of the OHS skills management program in collaboration with business partners and the OHS department.

Developing skills management programs:

Designing training programs tailored to the specific needs of the organization, taking into account legal requirements, best practices, and industry-specific risks.

Educational content design.

Quality control of training design, training updates, and training dissemination.

Development, implementation, and monitoring of the management program of trainers.


Evaluation of training programs and issuing recommendations: Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using appropriate evaluation methods, such as learner assessments, feedback and key performance indicators.

Issue recommendations regarding mastering the taught elements and skills to be strengthened.

Management of performance indicators related to all programs under the responsibility of the health and safety skills development lead.


Continuous improvement of the skills of the members of the OSH department: Monitoring and managing occupational health and safety skills within the organization, identifying skills gaps, and proposing appropriate development plans.

Management of providers of pedagogical design and training services (internal and external).

Budget planning and monitoring.


Advisory and strategic service of computer tools aimed at efficiency, modernization, and project management of the OSH team and its internal clients.

Support, coaching, and coordination of the LMS coordinator.


Sensitization to health and safety culture: Promote a culture of positive safety within the organization by participating in the organization of awareness campaigns, events, and initiatives aimed at reinforcing commitment to health and safety.

Collaborate with stakeholders in developing an employee onboarding program for the integration of Health and Safety components.

In collaboration with the HS team, implementation of a community of best HS practices.


Responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of the worker recognition program for those who stand out in health and safety at work.

Responsible for conducting customer satisfaction surveys internally and monitoring the company's safety culture pulse.
