CAMH's Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) works with communities, service providers and other partners across Ontario to move evidence to action to create sustainable, equitable, system-level change.

With offices in Toronto and across the province, PSSP is on the ground collaborating with stakeholders to build a better system through our work in implementation, knowledge exchange, evaluation, information management, and health equity and lived-experience engagement.


Position Description
PSSP is currently seeking a full-time, temporary (15 months) CH&E Specialist (Implementation Coordinator) to work in our Toronto office.

The Implementation Coordinator will work as part of a provincial team that supports the spread and scale of the Substance Abuse Program for African Canadian and Caribbean Youth (SAPACCY) into a network of seven sites across Ontario.

SAPACCY is a culturally responsive, Africentric approach to mental health and substance use care for Black youth and their families.

The Implementation Coordinator will support the advancement of organizational transformation and systems changes in policies, programs and services for Black youth and their families across Ontario.

This position will report to the Provincial Network Lead.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting teams to develop and operationalize implementation plans
  • Supporting the Provincial Network Lead to assess provincial project opportunities, anticipate barriers to implementation and collaboratively identify mitigating strategies.
  • Collaborating with other content areas (e.g. evaluation, knowledge exchange, coaching, equity and engagement, health promotion) to keep implementation projects on track and coordinate project activities.
  • Supporting the Provincial Network Lead in the preparation of semiannual and annual funding reports.
  • Supporting the Provincial Network Lead and team to refine implementation plans, tools and processes
  • Supporting implementation status tracking and other evaluative processes

Qualifications

  • This position requires the incumbent to have lived experience as a member of the diverse Black communities, with a proven track record of coordinating and implementing health initiatives and/or community development work that centres the dismantling of antiBlack racism, antioppressive and antiracist practices, and culturallyresponsive clinical care and its collective impact.
  • Experience working within Implementation Science and Quality Improvement methods and initiatives is desired.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset
  • Demonstrated experience developing and supporting the implementation of project plans and processes, analytical problem solving, and prioritizing project needs.
  • Experience working with external stakeholders, including hospitals, community health centres, public health agencies, public school boards, colleges/universities, and various levels of government.
  • Ability to manage multiple aspects of work simultaneously, work independently, as well as work within a diverse interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organization, communication, networking, and presentation skills are necessary.
  • Ability to work effectively in a widerange of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds and program areas within CAMH.
  • An ability to communicate in languages other than English, including Indigenous languages spoken in Ontario and languages and dialects spoken in the African Diaspora is considered an asset.
  • Strong PC software skills including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel), Internet Search and an ability to learn new software/programs quickly is required.

Salary Range:
$ $45.31 per hour
