This role supports telMAX's busy warehouse operations, as our construction-intensive growth extends.

The Warehouse Associate will work as part of a small team responsible for all receiving and distribution activities supporting our business, working under the day-to-day direction of the Warehouse Lead.

This is a hands-on role, operating equipment, organizing inventory both in the warehouse and in the yard, and packing and issuing materials.

This role works very closely with the telMAX Construction and Field Operations teams, and supports our construction contractors on a daily basis.

This role is an "in-person" position based in our Keswick warehouse.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Receive shipments from our vendors unload, inspect, receive in our systems, validate packing slips, label, and store in our warehouse or yard.
  • Organize inventory items in the warehouse
  • Perform inventory counts (cycle counts and ongoing)
  • Prepare orders for pick up by contractors and telMAX staff pull materials based on pick sheets, stage and wrap in warehouse or yard, issue using handheld, assist with safe loading
  • Review pick sheet requests with "required" information
  • Promote a clean and safe working environment
  • Maintain equipment and tools
  • Organize inventory and maintain records in ScanForce/Sage
  • Follow proper housekeeping guidelines
  • Proactively support the efficient receipt of materials, organization of the warehouse, and issuance of materials to vendors and staff
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and quality of service provided to internal and external customers

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:


  • Clean drivers' license and maintain forklift certificate
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office tools, and handheld scanning technology
  • Effective listening and communication skills
  • Ability to safely lift up to 25 kg
  • High personal standards, with an ethical approach to work, and a commitment to honesty
  • Capable team player and willingness to problem solve
  • Good attention to detail and solid time management abilities
  • At least 2 years of warehouse or similar experience
