Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for daily management and coordination of deliveries, order picks and unloading/loading of delivery trucks. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures safe and accurate product verification and rotation in the facility freezers and coolers.

They are responsible for providing direction to all pickers and drivers, as well as the Summer Warehouse pickers and ensuring the Warehouse environment provides a safe, compliant workplace through Health & Safety.


What You'll Do:


  • Administers plans and direction to warehouse & driver teams while continually striving for improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs, including the routing of all runs and picks.
  • Develops realistic action plans, by prioritizing and planning work activities. Plans for additional resources as required.
  • Accurately picks customer orders from the freezer and cooler.
  • Books appointments for deliveries and pickups.
  • Loads product in an organized manner that corresponds to the delivery route to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Provides a safe work environment for employees, updating and revising work procedures when required.
  • Works with staff to keep warehouse facility clean and safe with regards to inspections
  • Responsible for following bills of lading (BOL's) to load trucks for shipment.
  • Responsible for product verification and product rotation.
  • Daily temperature checks of all cooler/freezer equipment
  • Communication with the Warehouse Manager regarding any required maintenance on equipment, docks, and doors.
  • Inventory management and control ordering process and counts.
  • Approve hours and vacation requests for all warehouse workers and drivers to ensure accurate payroll.
  • Support with counts and mock recalls for Auditors.
  • Approve fuel logs for delivery trucks.
  • Monthly building inspections for Quality Control
  • Creation of PO's, approval of warehouse invoices and communication with other Foothills Creamery warehouses for inventory needs and requests.
  • Address and resolve problems as appropriate.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to ensure communication is present with warehouse.
  • Assist with warehouse cleaning or additional duties when not out on deliveries.
  • Provide great customer service; always representing Foothills Creamery positively.

What You'll Need:


  • Previous work experience and knowledge of warehousing, refrigeration, and logistics
  • Previous experience in a supervisor role
  • Forklift, Reach Truck and Power Jack experience.
  • Ability to frequently lift and move 25kg lbs.)
  • Previous Cooler/Freezer Warehouse experience an asset.
  • Previous experience with Sage ERP System considered an asset.

  • Positive attitude and experience in coaching staff
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel)
