In line with the Board's Multi-Year Strategic Plan and the Director's Action Plan, the Principal Selection Process meets the board's succession planning goals and talent development needs and contributes to building a workforce reflective of the communities we serve.

Stages of the Selection Process:

Pre-Application Process (BetterEducate):

Stage One:
Application (January 2- February 1, 2023)

More details were provided at the Information Session on January 11, 2023 and at the Leadership Development Workshop #1 (Preparing your Application) on January 19, 2023 (recordings available on the Vice-Principal Selection Process Workshop page).

Stage Two:
Face-to-Face Interview (March 2- March 30, 2023)

Respond to a variety of interview questions

Selection Team will review and score Stage Two responses and determine a short-list to move forward to Stage Three

Stage Three:
Reference Checks (April - April 19, 2023)

Three references will be contacted only in the final stage of the process

References are to include:

anticipated to run from January to mid-April for eventual placement in both

this leadership opportunity.
