Located in Cochrane, Alberta we perform work around the world in forage exporting to regions including Australia, Europe, Africa and the United States.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, with an indirect line to VP Canadian Operations, the Continuous Improvement Advisor's primary responsibility is to identify, analyze and drive the completion of initiatives that improve the quality and productivity of Hunterwood's operations.

This role will also support the Quality Manager in developing standards and procedures to support the quality program.

Follow-up with key stakeholders to ensure corrective action is implemented effectively to improve company performance is a critical function of the role.


Duties:


  • Ensure products meet customer expectations and maintain standards for reliability and performance of production;
  • Model and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the business;
  • Identify and lead initiatives that support the objectives of the design, procurement, and operations teams to improve efficiency, cycle times, and reduce costs;
  • Utilize Lean and/or Six Sigma concepts (PDCA, DMAIC) to identify process opportunities, then initiate, execute, and followup on sustainable solutions using rootcause analysis;
  • Track and manage the status of multiple projects concurrently, and provide regular updates to management on priorities, delays, and issues;
  • Identify longterm variance trends and proactively develop goals to reduce variances in design, production, installation, and commissioning of customer deliveries;
  • Collaborate across multiple departments to influence, track, and sustain changes that will benefit the business;
  • Gathering operational data to support in the development of quality standards, procedures, best practices, and customer training modules;
  • Collaborate on Health & Safety initiatives as required;
  • Comply with all company and legislative Health, Safety & Environmental requirements, including appropriate PPE, and modeling safe best practices;
  • Domestic and extended international travel on an asrequired basis, valid passport required; ~1015%;
  • Other Duties as Required.

Qualifications:


  • Greenbelt, Blackbelt, or equivalent certification in Lean, Six-Sigma, or similar a requirement;
  • Postsecondary education in engineering, manufacturing, or other technical fields an asset;
  • Organizational skills, multitasking abilities, drive and capacity to work in a fast
- paced environment;

  • Highly selfmotivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills who can collaborate with and organize initiatives across multiple departments;
  • Highly computer literate, capable of working with MS Office;
  • Flexibility on work schedules to meet company's requirements;

Job Types:

Salary:
$80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
