In business since 1947, Canadian Helicopters is Canada's largest helicopter operator with over 20 locations across the country and a fleet of nearly 100 single and multi-engine aircrafts.
We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant at our base in Fort McMurray, who will be a key element in supporting base operations.
Job Description:
Administrative:
- Coordinate the flow of information between different departments.
- Enter data into the company's computer system (AS400).
- Process accounts payable and eventually receivable from the base.
- Verify employee expense accounts and timesheets before approval.
- Prepare billing information.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
Operational:
- Greet visitors, customers, and answer phone calls.
- Coordinate employee rotations, arrange transportation and accommodation as needed for crew.
- Ensure communication and coordinate work schedules.
- Maintain certain data in the company's "Crew Support" portal.
- Register employees for required training at the request of the director.
- Perform any other support duties to the Base Manager.
Qualifications:
- Studies in office automation and/or administration or relevant experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in administrative support functions.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (MS-Word, Excel).
- Good knowledge of English.
- Great sense of customer service and high level of professionalism.
- Ability to manage priorities and have a good sense of organization.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to work within a team and adapt to a variable workload.
- Positive attitude and professional discretion.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
Work Conditions:
Status:
Full-time, permanent
Location:
Fort McMurray, AB.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 35 to 40 hours per week.
