Position Overview


As an Associate, you will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of corporate strategy and business planning mandates and collaborate with the other segments of the group, primarily our M&A team.

Ultimately, this will give you a diverse advisory experience and empower you to choose the career path that best suits your strengths and interests


Your mandates will include the following:

  • Develop corporate strategies and business plans to help companies articulate and achieve their long-term goals and objectives.
  • Create growth and market entry strategies to identify and validate growth avenues for clients to pursue along with the tactical implementation / execution plan.
  • Review and analyze market and financial data, trends and projections to identify and synthesize key findings and implications.
  • Participate in due diligence processes in the context of transactions, on behalf of companies, private equity firms and other institutional investors.
  • Participate in sellside advisory, including preparation of potential buyers list, marketing materials and financial models.
  • Within engagements, you will be asked to:
  • Perform in-depth industry and competitive research to intimately understand our clients' business environment.
  • Synthesize meaningful insights from large qualitative and quantitative date sets.
  • Prepare client reports with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Engage in client meetings to present findings and collaboratively workshop ideas and recommendations.
  • Participate in new business opportunities and other firm initiatives.
  • Collaborate with professionals in various departments of the firm including tax, assurance, Richter Family Office and others.

About you

  • Our team is multidisciplinary with practitioners coming from outside traditional business programs, including STEM and Arts backgrounds.
  • Ability to rapidly identify key issues during an engagement and generate mitigation tactics / recommendations.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a comfort dealing with ambiguous problems.
  • Selfdiscipline and organization with the ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.
  • Very strong capabilities in qualitative and quantitative analysis with the ability to leverage a variety of tools to conduct and communicate findings and recommendations (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and PowerBI; other analytics tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, UiPath, etc.).
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and management skills individual, team and client management.
