Description:

As a Family Counsellor, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up to clients and their families.

You will also provide clinical focused consultation with other programs or community resources and acts as a liaison to develop and promote preventative health programs in the community.

You will collaborate with other health care providers and community service providers to ensure a continuum of care in the community.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of master's degree in a health related field. Active or eligible for registration with applicable professional association or college.


Additional Required Qualifications:

A master's degree in Social Sciences, combined with a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a treatment environment. A minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct family counseling, preferably within an addiction and/or mental health setting. Suicide Prevention training, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and First Aid/BLS are required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy. Demonstrates knowledge in Trauma Informed Care and Collaborative Problem Solving. A strong ability to work with other professionals is essential, and experience delivering staff training is an asset.
