Description

The Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for all delivery duties to various sites along with supporting the warehouse staff with inventory management, preparation of site materials and equipment maintenance.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Primary Responsibilities:_


  • Driver Duties

  • Load and unload truck with materials manually.
  • Perform routine maintenance work.
  • Dispose of site refuse in an appropriate manner.
  • Other duties as required to meet department and corporate objectives
  • Secondary Responsibilities:
_

  • Inventory Management
  • Assist with maintaining inventory and locations within main warehouse.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by updating activities in realtime.
  • Ensure returned inventory is put away in designated location.
  • Assist with physical cyclical inventory counts.
  • Coordinate site clean ups and ensure all material returned to the warehouse is processed in the proper manner.
Shipping and Receiving- Receive all incoming material for all divisions as required. Validate receipts with packing slips and notify all recipients. Ensure all necessary paperwork is sent to the appropriate area (i.e., packing slips, delivery notices, invoices, etc.). Ensure all inventory leaving the building has an associated invoice and/or picking ticket. Prepare and process all outgoing shipments as required. Assist with the daily delivery and pick up activities of materials and other requests as required. Ensure all waste returned from the job sites are disposed of accordingly.
Equipment Maintenance- Assist with general housekeeping of warehouse to ensure a clean and safe work environment. Assist with ongoing maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery. Assist with tracking movement of all tools & equipment as required in a computer database. Assist with the repair and maintenance of all company owned tools and equipment. All other duties as assigned to meet Company objectives.
skills and qualifications

  • General Requirements_
  • Minimum of 35 years previous experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities within the industrial electrical field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and shipping/receiving duties.
  • Proficient typing skills and MS Office software (Word and Excel) knowledge.
  • Superior interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Independent selfstarter.
  • Technical Requirements_
  • Valid Class G driver's license.
  • Clean driving abstract.
  • Valid Forklift Operator Certificate and proven onthejob experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 5080 lbs.
    Working Conditions
  • Physical ability to lift to 75lbs.
  • Safety equipment will be required, e.g., steeltoed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Hazards associated with the trade.
  • Will be exposed to construction sites.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors.
